ONE BCG Botswana has embarked on the development of a Scheduling & Reminder Software Application which will be of great benefit to cancer patients in Botswana. This application is expected to bring a significant improvement to the scheduling process carried out by doctors for their patients. The OP Care software application should be able to automate the scheduling process by sending out reminders to patients concerning their appointments. This should in turn, improve the treatment cycle and also make cancer treatment provision in Botswana more efficient. The current record of cancer patients receiving sufficient treatment is extremely low, thus the development of this software application is expected to bring about a drastic change to this record and hopefully shift it to better horizons.
